Falle-Safe Securities Pin Tumbler Lock Decoder
John Falle's elegant design allows the user to walk up to the door and quickly determine all the information necessary to make a key to the lock -- without disassembling the lock. It uses a fine wire probe that travels up the side of the pin and stops at the shear-line, displaying the distance traveled on a graduated scale.
Falle-Safe Securities Variable Key
Once the user has determined the key-coding needed to open the target lock (either through the use of the pin tumbler lock decoder described above, or through other means), the Falle pin tumbler variable key system allows someone to create a key using only scissors. Blades of etched stainless steel are supplied in sheets with common depth increments pre-scored -- the user cuts the approximate code, inserts the blade into the holder tool, and inserts the "key" into the lock. The thinness of the key blade means that it will work with many different keyways, while the user can rock the key in the lock to achieve an opening even when the cut code is not completely correct.
Falle-Safe Securities Foil Impressioning System
The Falle foil impressioning system opens the lock and provides an approximate key-code using the impressioning principle. A comb-shaped carrier covered in adhesive foil is inserted into the lock and rocked up and down as torque is applied; binding pins progressively depress the foil until they sit low enough to reach the shear-line.
